Oct 23, 2025: New paper out today! This Science paper presents "mummies" of Edmontosaurus annectens, a duck-billed dinosaur that once roamed North America. Unlike the Egyptian mummies, these do not have the squishy bits like skin, muscles, and guts preserved, but the rock that surrounded these carcasses had a layer of clay that created a high-fidelity rendering of the skin, capturing scales, a fleshy midline crest with keratin spikes, and, for the first time, feet with hooves!
