Feb 19, 2026: New paper out today! This Science paper presents Spinosaurus mirabilis - a new species of Spinosaurus found in the heart of Niger. This dinosaur has a scimitar-shaped crest and lives hundreds of miles from the prehistoric marine shores, adding further evidence that this group of animals was likely a shoreline specialist, hunting fish like a heron in inland river systems. Art by Dani Navarro.
